Topic: Where do we go from here?

Our speaker will be Meri Forte-Namuj, president of the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida. She will talk to us about what we can do NOW.

The election of Donald Trump to a second term is a wake-up call for Democrats. In Florida, the re-election of U.S. Sen. Rick Scott and the failure of Amendment 4, doubled our pain. It is OK to be sad, frustrated and angry; but after a period of mourning, we need to get busy, doing anything we can to block implementation of autocratic policies by both Trump and DeSantis. There is a lot to be done on the state and local level as well as federal.

Join us to interact with Forte-Namuj as well as other regional staff, including Bert (Avelia) Perkins, Sheila Reagan, Betty Honkonen and JoAnn Messina, and go to lunch afterward. Location to be announced at the meeting.
