The Villages Democratic Club is planning to start a new program called The School Volunteers’ Coalition to maximize services currently in place and provide support to close gaps in existing services. ** An update on the GOP's threat to our economy, Social Security, and Medicare. GOP lawmakers say they will not approve raising the federal debt ceiling without significant cuts to Social Security and Medicare. Check out the potential catastrophic consequences in the report at the end of this newsletter. ** A Villager who co-founded a Florida grassroots campaign for Death With Dignity. Kate Parker will be our featured speaker, on the Sunshine State movement to enact end-of-life laws similar to those in nine other states and the District of Columbia.
