Focus: 2024 Election - Sumter County

SPEAKERS: Cris Andersen, Vice Chair of the Sumter County Democratic Party and leader of the Neighborhood Links program, will speak about how the Sumter Democratic Party reaches voters and informs them on the issues and candidates that will be on the ballot this year and the voting process. Julian Timoner, past Sumter County Democratic Party chair, is leading the Virtual Phone Bank that targets Democratic voters in Sumter and The Villages portion of Marion County. He is looking for volunteers to ensure that everyone registers to Vote By Mail for the upcoming re-election of President Joe Biden. Phone banking augments other activities, such as texting, robocalling, post cards and door-to-door canvassing.

In addition, Matt Smith will be presenting a tool LetCongressKnow.com that provides a simple way to get the information on bills and issues that affect you and your family and to let your congressional reps know if you want them to support a bill or not and why.
