Writing Postcards to get out the vote!

The Sumter County Democratic Party is participating in the League of Women Voters Returning Citizen Postcard Project.  In 2018, Florida voters approved an amendment to the Florida Constitution that automatically restored the voting rights of felons, except for murderers and felony sex offenders, once they finished their prison sentences and paid related fines and fees. Our volunteers will be addressing the cards to let these returning citizens know they can be helped to register to vote and writing a brief personal, non-partisan message.  If you have good handwriting and would like to volunteer to address these cards, sign up at the link below.   

June 5, MON  - 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
June 7, WED -  9 a.m. to noon
June 12, MON  - 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
June 14,  WED - 9 a.m. to noon
